In 2005 I founded an annual fiction contest promoting excellence in short fiction and awarding cash prizes to four winners. Under my leadership, two anthologies were published: The Coffee House Fiction 2009 Anthology and The Fifteenth Dame Lisbet Throckmorton Anthology, 2010. Both are available for sale at Amazon. I learned a lot — sometimes the hard way — but especially that I enjoy helping other fiction writers make their stories and novels better. It was a way for me to draw on both my Master’s degree in English and my background in teaching at the high school and university level.
